In a breadbox (are those still a thing?)

Get your fucking bread out of the fridge. Refrigeration makes it stale faster. If you’re not eating your bread before it goes bad you should keep it in the FREEZER, never the fridge. Stop eating subpar bread
I have to keep mine in a breadbox because I have a goblin cat that can and will chew through the plastic to get to the delicious bread within. I have no choice but to lock the bread away, for its own protection.
